Earlier this week my sister reminded me of the genius show Animaniacs. When I was growing up this was one of my favorite cartoons to watch. I still crack up watching these hilarious clips.

A Few YouTube Gems, Part 3 – The Robot Edition
I’ve posted several hilarious videos in my previous “YouTube Gems” editions (click here and here if you have extra time to watch them), but a YouTube Gem doesn’t have to be funny. Funny is great, but I think a viral video can also be smart, emotional, scary, intense, or just plain cool.
Maybe this edition will expose my nerdy side a little too much, but I just love how far technology has evolved. Check out these cool/remarkable robot videos:
This robot is amazing. One of the biggest challenges engineers have in making a truly mobile robot is balance. When you balance you’re using hundreds of muscles just to stay upright. When someone pushes you or when you walk on ice or any type of uneven or abnormal terrain, you use another set of muscles and brain functions just so you don’t fall over. With that in mind take a look at this incredible robot:
The fluid and quick motions of these robots is pretty amazing:

A Few YouTube Gems
YouTube is a wonderful and treacherous place. It can provide hours of entertainment, but can also suck the life out of you as you search for the real gems that can be found therein. I have tread through many videos in our young YouTube years and want to share a few of the better ones I have found. You may have already seen some of these videos, but they are worth another view. We’ll post more in future. What are your favorite videos?
